I am a sole practitioner serving the Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester County areas of South Carolina.

The focus of my practice is on matters that affect families. Practicing in the areas of family law, criminal and juvenile defense, DSS abuse and neglect, and simple wills and trusts over the past fourteen years I have helped hundreds of clients achieve successful resolutions to their legal problems.

I believe that communication is crucial to achieving results. That is why I take the time to get to know my clients and carefully listen to what they have to say. I explain the law and court procedures to them, offer practical advice based upon my years of experience and answer any and all questions they may have regarding their case. I also make it a priority to respond to my clients' inquiries in a timely manner and keep them informed of developments in their case as they occur so that they can make informed decisions throughout their case. Successful resolutions are achieved through both negotiation and litigation. A negotiated settlement is usually less costly, and most times more satisfactory to the client, than a case decided in court. I enjoy working with other attorneys and professionals to come up with creative resolutions to my clients' problems. When, however, it becomes necessary to try a case I am comfortable in the courtroom, having tried and won many cases over my years as an attorney.
